Women and children are the foundation and backbone of society. Thus, they are also the ones who often bear the burdens of societies, and so, their well-being is the best indicator of how healthy any society is. Bhagawan is especially interested in their care throughout the world. His recent initiatives geared towards health care and education among rural populations is proof of this. Alabama is a rural state and also one of the poorest in America, located close to Mississippi, the state which Bhagawan mentioned in His recent discourse in Encinitas, California, USA. Following His lead, Sai youth in Alabama decided to serve breakfast to the ladies staying at the Downtown Rescue Mission and to their children.

Amongst the poor in Alabama, the racial divide which has plagued the United States for centuries is conspicuously absent. Perhaps suffering brings people together, but there is also amongst them an incredible sense of common concern and shared purpose. We can learn how to cooperate and work together from them. The love which was shared by one of the lady volunteers, who made sure that she gave every child present a hug, was a very touching and heartfelt gesture. The Sai youth noticed the image of the Cross depicted beautifully on a whiteboard but more importantly, Bhagawan revealed how the teachings of Lord Jesus were being embodied by this lady! She truly represented what it means to have a renewed life in the love of Christ!

Excitement is building as preparations are already underway for the next phase of Bhagawan’s mission in their region, all thanks to the inspiration He provided during His recent visit. The glory of Bhagawan’s mission in the Subtle Form continues to be a breathtaking experience for all of the volunteers, many of whom were blessed to attend the Satsang in Atlanta, in neighbouring Georgia.

With strong Sai communities in these States, long-time, as well as eager new devotees, and the tutelage of the revered gentleman Mr. Isaac Tigrett, Swami’s mission is “Ready for launch!” Volunteers in the “Rocket City” of Huntsville, Alabama, USA, are fond of using this phrase!
