Swami’s Birthday is tomorrow! The Good Lord wanted to send the three Sai young adults of Huntsville, Alabama, USA a gentle reminder that He was with them as they went about His work by making their arrival time exactly at 11:23 AM! In the United States, this time of year is known as the Thanksgiving season because it represents a period of peace, reconciliation between warring parties, as they offer gratitude to God for all that He provides especially as it becomes colder and becomes more difficult to grow fruits and vegetables. Volunteers not only served meals at the Downtown Rescue Mission homeless shelter but also collected canned vegetables and cereals to donate to the Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen. This facility serves 200 meals at lunch and dinner each day, plus another 50 more for breakfast. Its volunteers also create boxes of canned goods to distribute to 200 families each month. What is sad is that donations increase during the holiday season, known as a time of giving in America, but fall precipitously during the warm Summer months as people are busy preparing for the new school year or are taking vacations. The Sai young adults of Huntsville have therefore decided that they will initiate a Canned Food Drive next year when the needs of the Soup Kitchen are the greatest.
The excitement in Muddenahalli (MDH) is palpable, even here in the US, although we are thousands of miles from it! Today the Good News was proclaimed about how the Baba Band performed in MDH and received the interview afterwards, and also how the volunteers of the Sai School Project in Tumkur and other Indian cities, many of whom live in this region of the US in cities such as Atlanta, also were received by Bhagawan in His home for a private audience! It was reported that, at the time, Bhagawan was His usual jovial, compassionate, guiding Self! Devotees in the US are also excited to witness the opening of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevini Health Center in Clarksdale, Mississippi in the near future and continue to cherish each moment on Planet Earth with our Sweet Divine Lord!
