Children’s Day

In Argentina, Children’s Day (Día del Niño) is celebrated during August and the youth prepared surprises for the children that they meet every Sunday when they serve breakfast. Additionally, thanks to the donations offered by the people keen on serving, the youth brought underwear, hats, gloves and scarfs to provide warm clothes to the homeless.

Children’s Day was celebrated on August 18, and the youth brought special gifts to distribute to the youngest ones. They gathered teddy bears, board games and pencils to colour with. The children felt very happy for the gifts and the gesture of selfless love from the youth group.

At the same time, the youth served breakfast consisting of coffee, tea, fruits, croissants and cookies. They also added a tasty vegetarian lunch box prepared by a lady devotee. They served breakfast to 35 people every Sunday, amounting to 140 people during August.

Not only do they serve coffee, but they also listen to the stories of the homeless. As a result, the heart of each volunteer is filled with compassion, making the youth forget about their own problems. In this way, the youth become more selfless and loving with their peers.
