During the month of December, 2019, the youth of Argentina distributed 2,248 meals in different points of the Country. The cities involved in the Seva activities are: Buenos Aires, Escobar, Morón, La Plata, Iguazú and Salta. The youths serve food to the homeless of their own communities every week.

 

The youth of La Plata prepared vegetarian hamburgers made of rice and lentils with lettuce and tomatoes and served them with fruits or chocolate desserts. Every Friday, they distribute food to two dining rooms for children and the homeless of a poor neighbourhood. For Christmas, they prepared a special gift for the families. They prepared bags containing typical Christmas sweets of Argentina. They served 1,055 people.

 

Every Saturday, the youth of Escobar gather in the Prema Shanti Centre for Human Development to cook for the children of a poor neighbourhood. They serve lunch for 60 children and their families every week. The youth also prepared a special gift for Christmas and distributed boxes with typical sweets to the families. They served 310 people.

 

The youth of Buenos Aires gathered every Thursday and prepared vegetarian sandwiches for the homeless in the downtown area. They served 445 people. Every Monday, a young family cooks for the homeless in their neighbourhood. For Christmas, they prepared a special gift, and together with other people who wanted to get involved, they bought new shirts and distributed them to the homeless. They served 183 meals.

 

The youths of Salta cook lunch for the children and families of a dining room every week. They serve lunch to around 120 children every Saturday. In December, they served 595 meals.

 

In Iguazú, a young family gathers every Saturday with some friends to cook for families in a poor neighbourhood. They prepared food for 50 people every week. During December, 2019, they served 250 people.
