Free Monthly, Medical and Dental Screening

for Students at Toogoolawa School

On Thursday February 8, 2018, students from Toogoolawah School received free dental and medical screening as well as a healthy meal by members of the Health in Kind Foundation as part of the Divine Mother and Child Program. A doctor, dentist and student nurse provided medical and dental screenings while volunteers cooked and served lunch and fruit at the end of the session. Students were delighted and all of them enjoyed the food. Lunch on a weekly basis is now being served by the Health in Kind volunteers.

Toogoolawa School is situated in Pimpama, Gold Coast about 30 minutes from Brisbane, Queensland. Toogoolawa is an Aboriginal word meaning “A place in the heart” and has been adopted so as to continually affirm the loving principles on which the teaching practices are based.

Toogoolawa School is a spiritually-inclined, inter-denominational school for boys. Some of the boys who attend have anxiety disorders, others are no longer welcome in mainstream schools for adverse behaviour choices and yet others have simply fallen through the academic cracks of the education system. Still other students prefer the therapeutic benefit of a small school setting.
