Melbourne Update
Health in Kind, Melbourne had their monthly Divine Mother and Child programme at Wyndham Vale on December 5, 2018, the last for this year with this community. The General Practitioners (GPs) presented a beautiful workshop on mindfulness which was very well received. There were Christmas songs sung with the group and Christmas gifts and toys were handed out to the families. The families also graciously offered the GPs a token of gratitude for visiting them, which was very heartfelt. The dental team had one dentist, two assistants and two dental graduates who tagged the team. Six patients were seen in a short time.
The Divine Mother and Child programme was held in Dandenong on December 15, 2018, also the last session of 2018 for this community. Christmas lunch was provided, all of which was enjoyed thoroughly. There were some fun activities for the children including face painting and games. Santa also made an appearance and gave out Christmas presents which delighted the children immensely!
Further to the above, there is a weekly meals service being provided at a caravan park in Dandenong where 30 to 40 needy members of the community are being given a warm, hearty meal. This is occurring every Friday evening and is always well received.
