SAI GLOBAL MISSION
On January 21st, 2017 SAI Global Mission promoted Nation Building Through Healthcare, Education, and Nutrition celebrating India’s Republic Day. The Guest of honor was a legendary Santoor Artist, Rahul Sharma, Son of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma. As part of the celebration, notable singers and accomplished musical instrumentals and Indian dance schools participated in the event.
The program highlighted the following service initiatives to create awareness of:
Serve A Village: Since its commencement in 2006, more than 200 rural villages in southern India have been benefited with free medical services, and nutrition. Till date, this has helped serve more than 500, 000 people.
Delhi and Raipur Hospitals: Offers free pediatric cardiac surgeries to anyone in need. Since its inception in 2012, Raipur Hospital has completed more than 2,766 pediatric cardiac surgeries and over 12,335 consultations. The program highlighted the inauguration of the New Delhi Hospital in November of 2016 by honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Educational Institutions: Offers free education to students between grades 6-12 (Pre-University) impacting more than 5000 students out of which 3500 are boys, and 1500 are girl students.
Annapoorna Breakfast Seva: More than 8500 children from 125 government schools are fed hot breakfast meals in the morning. In addition to serving hot meals, the program also took health screenings. Out of the 125 schools, more than 7000 children from 110 schools have been screened.
Sai Ashraya: USA, California, YA discussed the local service project initiatives taken to end homelessness in Bay Area California.
