Summary of Seva in Sri Lanka
As the first half of the year 2020 was speeding by, the youth were continuously carrying out Seva whenever the opportunity arose!

During the month of January, the Batticaloa youth worked tirelessly to help clean and maintain Swami’s clinic in Kirankulam as well as to assist during the patient-feeding sessions between 10:30 am to 02:00 pm.

Continuation of refreshment and lunch distribution to the government workers every other day of the week.

Continued the weekly donations to the Mahinda Vidhyala for special needs children in Mirihana for breakfast, until curfew was imposed.

During the two-month long curfew period, the youth worked towards donating to various churches that initiated ration donation to low-income families.

Sponsored rations for a family with two young children in dire need of help.

Provided essential items which were delivered to Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith’s Archbishop’s residence to be distributed to the poor.

Sponsored goods for the monks at the Sacred Aranya Bodhinagala Ingiriya.

Donated a month’s supply of rations such as rice, dhal, onions, coconuts, spices, soya and more, to the Kashyapa Children’s Orphanage.

Donated rations such as rice, dhal, onions, potatoes, sugar, milk powder, spices, biscuits, vegetables and such, to the Mythri Children’s Home.

Sponsored a bulk of rations that will be sufficient for a month, along with vegetables for the Borella Elders’ Home.

Sponsored afternoon tea along with vanilla cakes, biscuits and home-made sandwiches for the Borella Elder’s Home.
