Super Successful Medical Camp In Waidalice, Tailevu

A team of over 50 Doctors, Health Professionals, One Fiji Volunteers and members of Sai Prema Foundation spent their Saturday serving 180 people in Waidalice, Tailevu.
In a span of five hours, villagers of the region were given free medical and dental consultations and free medications.
Three members from "Health in Kind Australia" also joined in the team as they officially commenced their partnership with Sai Prema Foundation to serve the rural population of Fiji.
Services that were given to the villagers of Waidalice included:

General Medical Consultations by Physicians, General Practitioners and Medical Officers from the Ministry of Health

Specialist consultations such as Psychiatry

Dental consultations and procedures by a Dentist from Fiji National University

Blood sugar testing, Diabetes advocacy and counseling by Diabetes Fiji

Heart screening for Children using HD Steth

Eye screening and dispensation of reading glasses by Pacific Eye Institute

Physiotherapy

Dietary advice and counseling by a dietitian

Counseling services provided by Medical Services Pacific and Smart Labs

Free medications dispensed by volunteer pharmacists and pharmacy students

‘Sai Annapoorna' - served the children a sumptuous lunch at the medical camp

Health screening by nurses from Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre and Fiji Medical Laboratory Science Students’ Association
