Bhuvanagiri District, Telangana

Over 1.400 people were reached out to, in Bhuvanagiri District in Telangana – Week 2:

April 7, 2020: Annapoorna volunteers in Bhuvanagiri District in Telangana reached out to various government schools which are a part of Annapoorna breakfast programme. Parents of school children who come from needy families were identified with the support of teachers working at these government schools. Most of these families are daily wage dependent and hence are unable to eke out a living during the lockdown period.

In order to support the families, groceries such as rice, wheat flour (atta), flattened rice (aval or poha), pulses (dal), sunflower oil, chilli powder, turmeric powder, and so on were distributed.

April 8, 2020: Beyond yesterday’s outreach to needy families of Annapoorna supported government school children in Bhuvanagiri district in Telangana State, more needy families have been reached out to, today. Overall, more than 1,400 people in the district have benefitted from the distribution of groceries so far.

Annapoorna thanks the police team in Bhuvanagiri district for extending their support!

April 9, 2020: The Annapoorna team in Hyderabad distributed food packets to the needy who were affected by the lockdown.

Mehaboobnagar, Telangana

 

Relief Work at Mehaboobnagar in Telangana – Week 2:

Annapoorna volunteers have distributed food essentials to 636 needy families affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in Mehabboobnagar.  The beneficiaries were very thankful to the volunteers for their support during this difficult time.
