June 5, 2020: Kerala Police Applauds Annapoorna Volunteers for Their Act of Benevolence

While engaging in various service initiatives to the needy during the Corona pandemic in Kerala, the Annapoorna volunteers could not miss acknowledging the efforts of the policemen who are working relentlessly to combat the spread of Coronavirus. The team of volunteers committed themselves to provide evening tea and snacks to the policemen carrying out their duty in the scorching heat from Kaithavana to Tumboli checking points at Alappuzha district of Kerala. The volunteers ensured a steaming hot cup of tea and snacks to these policemen every single day!

Touched by the sprightly act of the Annapoorna volunteers, the officers from the North Police Station of Alappuzha district, felicitated the team of volunteers. The token of appreciation for the dedicated efforts were humbly received by the Annapoorna volunteers. The function was presided and attended by the Sub Inspectors of Police, Sri Baby TS, Sri Bhuvana Chandran, Sri Suresh Kumar KV and also Police Association Councillor, Sri Hashir and Head Constables, Smt. Suja and Sri Shyama Prasad.

The Annapoorna Team of Alappuzha district has been rendering commendable service activities during the Corona pandemic including distribution of vegetable kits to 50 underprivileged families and also distribution of financial assistance and essentials to the families of daily wage workers and street vendors.
