Reaching the Last Mile to Touch the Last Life
The focus of the team has been always to create access for quality healthcare beyond all barriers of accessibility and affordability! While qualified health professionals strive to reach out to rural beneficiaries despite difficult situations, arrangements and locations, another remarkable feature has been in ensuring completion of Surgical Treatments post On-Ground Screening, Detection and Confirmation of Diagnosis with innovative tools at site.
On-Ground Screenings and Surgeries for cleft lip and palate in association with Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V. are being carried out by the Team. Adult Hernia Surgical Corrections are also being facilitated with Health Institutions of the city.
One of the most significant initiatives in association with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Team has been supporting nearly 900 children in the interior rural belts of Durgapur with Sai Sure! These children are from extremely needy families, some even from tribal villages. Aarogya Vahini is looking forward to start Health Screenings for these children after looking at the dire need of the area and the children.
In continued Love and Support for the little rural children, the chocolate-malt based nutritional drink Sai Sure, in association with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Team is being offered every month along with the monitoring of BMI. Each child is also being offered with a packet of Milk. The little hearts of the village, Kalyani received their share as well!
For the chronic and new patients, the Aarogya Vahini Mobile Team continued offering consultations with Medicinal Support, 80 beneficiaries received care at District Nadia!
As always all services were rendered totally free of cost!
Nine most needy locations were reached in the first 11 days of December 2020, touching over 600 lives with support for comprehensive ON-GROUND health screening amid COVID-19 pandemic.
While rural adults were given medicines, needy families have been supported with groceries in different Nodal points and children have been supported with Sai Sure protein supplement!

Over 39 surgeries were facilitated after more than 8,000 on-ground Paediatric Cardiac Screenings were conducted with Cardiac Stethoscope supported by HD Medical, USA.
Continued support with comprehensive Mobile Health Screenings for Adults and Geriatrics in General, Ophthalmic and Dental care with medicinal support was provided in collaboration with Divine Will Foundation.
Nutritional support was given in association with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in over 20 Nodal points of West Bengal.
