More needy families and homeless reached out in Kannur, Kerala – Week 2:

Annapoorna volunteers in Kannur in Kerala State have been actively helping out various needy sections through providing meals to homeless, providing essential items to various needy families, and so on.

In addition to the above, about 14 Shamiana shelters and chairs were arranged at the request of the Police officials.

Overall, about 100 grocery kits were delivered at the houses of the most deserving families. Volunteers took the assistance of Ward Councillors in identifying eligible families. Food distribution for the homeless is being done on a continuous basis. Food packets are bought at Rs. 20 per packet by the volunteers from the community kitchen and distributed freely to the needy.
