More than 100 families in Sidlaghatta town receive groceries – Week 2:

Annapoorna team reached out to over 100 needy families in Sidlaghatta town in Chikkaballapur District in Karnataka State, to help them during the COVID-19 lockdown.

All the recipient families were from a needy background with most of them being daily wagers at the local brick factory. Due to the current lockdown, they were unable to make their ends meet. All these families were provided with essential groceries.

Chintamani, Chikkaballapur District, Karnataka

 

Grocery kits for needy families in Chintamani town – Week 2:

Annapoorna collaborated with other organisations such as Team Marga, Lions International Club, Lions Club chapters in Bengaluru and Chintamani to reach out to many needy families with food (groceries) in Chintamani town in Chikkaballapur District in Karnataka State.

Most of the beneficiaries belonged to slums and were needy families, who would, by this distribution, stand to benefit during the lockdown.

Hubbali, Karnataka

Daily wage labourers in Hubbali provided with groceries – Week 2:

Annapoorna volunteers in Hubbali, Karnataka, located about 30 families who were dependent on daily wages and who did not have ration cards, due to which they could not avail the government’s relief.

These 30 needy families were given wheat flour, sugar, upma rava (cream of wheat), 1 liter of sunflower oil, alsandi kaalu (cow peas), kadle kaalu (bengal gram), madki kaalu (sprouted lentil) as well as red chilli powder.
