During the lockdown in Italy, considering the stringent situation nationwide, most of the Seva activities were brought to a grinding halt apart from Grace Kitchen in Rome which continued with the Seva, modifying it a little bit. Instead of cooking at the Kitchen, as was usually done, the volunteers would prepare food packets at home and then bring them to the kitchen for distribution to the needy. The numbers did see a decrease but this did not dampen the spirits of the Seva volunteers who believe that it is not the quantity that counts but the quality of the work done!
Food was also distributed in Padua where and when possible.
Various online Sadhana activities were also born in Italy during the lockdown period. Virtual Satsangs that are usually held once a month were held every week so as to up keep the spirits of the people. These Satsangs were open to all, not only to Sai devotees. Two workshops were carried out. The first on the Nirvana Shatakam (five online sessions of 1.5 hours each) on a weekly basis with the intention of learning the correct pronunciation as well as its deep philosophical meaning. The second was on Master the Mind series (four online sessions).
Daily prayers at noon were held as well as weekly online Bhajan sessions.
The Guru Vikas project was in full swing as well, during the lockdown period, with the usual weekly online meets.
