Once a week, the Sai youth distributed meals enroute to the Mosque in Almaty city. In the month of July, close to 130 meals, which included sandwiches, sweets, cookies and tea, were distributed to the needy.
Here is a brief on the experiences the youth had during the food distribution sevā:
A lady beneficiary expressed her gratitude by saying, “As long as we have you, we won’t die.”
One of the days, a woman sitting near the metro station was looking quite depressed. The moment she saw the Sai Youth, her face beamed with happiness and she approached them saying, “There are not many people like you in the world. You comfort so many people in need. I would have invited all of you to my house if I had one. But I firmly believe that by God’s will and mercy, I will be bestowed with a house at the right time, and then I will definitely invite all of you."
The youth support single parent families, primarily single mothers and widowed mothers, who raise their children. Basic necessities such as food and hygiene products were distributed to them. In the month of July, close to 345 meals were distributed.
The youth also participate in the translation of Sri Sathya Sai Uvacha series into Russian language.
