Middle East Youth Activities
During The Month Of April 2018

The youth of Middle East sanctified yet another month of 2018 through a series of selfless service activities on the weekends. With the rising temperatures in the Middle East, toiling under the hot sun is an ever-painful challenge, especially for those working in the civil construction industry.

It is against this background that a group of wonderful human beings set out to make a difference by sharing their most valuable time, energy, resources, and love with their fellow brethren who are struggling to make their ends meet by engaging in hard manual labour under hot weather conditions across the Middle East.

Just as a candle lit helps light other candles, a single act of selfless love inspired a couple of other noble souls to join their team to volunteer to make a difference in the society.

Women’s Empowerment Initiative: April 6, 13, 20, 27, 2018

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a true champion of empowerment of women, founded in the 1970s in India, His first educational institution – a women’s college in a remote town named Anantapur in South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with a great vision of creating women of high moral standards with strong intellectual, spiritual and physical capabilities. It was Baba who inspired the alumni of His educational institutions currently living in the Middle East to work towards the empowerment of women in the region.

Based on this direction, a couple of alumnae as well as youth members get together every weekend to spend some quality time with women living in labour camps in the region – training them on honing their basic IT, language and communication skills. These women also undergo sessions on personal hygiene, yoga, meditation and healthy living so as to cope with stress or ailments arising out of work or personal lives. These sessions get extra attention and participation when there are tokens of love given away by the alumnae and the youth.
