MIDDLE EAST YOUTH ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2017
Truly, this saying was experienced by the youth of the Middle East who had just spent their time with God during the World Youth Meet 2018 held in Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli in the second half of November 2017. After the much-needed spiritual energy recharge, the youth members pledged to dedicate more time than before – for societal service and personal transformation. They were successful in diving into several groups of volunteers to reach out to more number of their own lesser fortunate brothers and sisters who were struggling to make their ends meet.
The phrase Vasudaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) hails most supreme in the hearts of these young men and women whose hearts are determined to offer their support to the blue-collared workers. It is for this sake that they get together on every single weekend to spend some quality time with their fellow brothers and sisters.
With the blessings of their beloved Lord and with the unflinching support of several like-minded friends and colleagues, the month of December 2017 saw a spurge of new service initiatives in the Middle East (as listed in the subsequent pages). There were five camps, in total, being served on every single weekend across the Middle East benefitting over 600 people belonging to a multitude of faiths, nationalities, creed and race. With every passing weekend, the motivation was soaring high to reach out to more and more people in need.
December 1, 2017 Conducted breathing exercises and computer classes in a labour camp in UAE. Distributed cooking oil and biscuits as a token of love.
Just as Baba reminds the youth of tapping into inner connection with the Divine Self, just as the spiritual gurus across the globe are increasingly propounding on the importance of meditation as the way forward in life, these ladies in the labour camp are truly blessed to have been on an inner journey that would help them in the long run.

December 3, 2017, December 9, 2017, December 16, 2017 And December 23, 2017: Distribution of cool laban and banana to construction workers in Dubai.
It was a beautiful day for the construction workers toiling on a sunny day of a weekend, when the youth brought them boxes filled with cool buttermilk packets and bananas with much love and warmth. The group of volunteers had significantly increased with more humane souls hailing from different nationalities joining this initiative.
December 8, 2017 Organized Vibrionics camp and provided breakfast for construction workers in Ajman.
A Vibrionics camp was held at a construction site in the Middle East for construction workers. A special surprise was awaiting the labourers who came to get themselves checked without having their regular morning breakfast – it was a delicious vegetarian breakfast prepared with much love by the youth.
December 8, 2017 Computer class on resume building for residents of a ladies labour camp in Sharjah. Distributed tooth pastes and liquid soaps.
The lady youth members held a special session to help the ladies in a labour camp to build their professional resumes on a computer. In addition, meditation sessions were also organised to help these women cope with stress. Toothpaste and liquid soap were also distributed as a token of their love.
December 9, 2017 And December 16, 2017: Distribution of tea and snacks for construction workers in Dubai.
Another group of youth gather at yet another construction site in the Middle East to share the hot chai tea that they have prepared with the secret ingredient called love, along with some snacks for the workers, who would eagerly wait to greet and receive the youth with much love and warmth in return.
For this group of youth, both the days of weekend are Holy days as they have dedicated all their free time to Seva and Sadhana. They are determined to pursue their quest of realising the purpose of life, which is to realise their true divine nature through going from ‘I’ to ‘We’ to ‘He’.
December 9, 2017, December 16, 2017 and December 23, 2017: Distribution of cool laban and banana at a construction site in the heart of Dubai.
The youth who are committed to spreading Baba’s message of Love All, Serve All identified yet another construction site in the heart of Dubai city wherein over 300 workers are served cool buttermilk packets and bananas in the middle of the day on every Saturday. The sheer smiles on the faces of the workers make their day, literally!
December 15, 2017 And December 22, 2017: Distribution of tea and snacks at a construction site in Ajman.
This construction site which is more like a home to the youth of Middle East who make it a point not to miss even a single weekend without sharing their joy and love with their fellow brothers who are working hard even on a holiday trying to make their ends meet. The labourers working at this site await the arrival of the youth who have become one among their own now. Apart from tea and snacks served at the site, the youth also spend some quality time with them trying to listen to their woes and tales.
December 15, 2017 Winter Special - Distribution of blankets and special yoga classes at a ladies camp in Sharjah.
As the winter approached, the youth decided to distribute blankets for the ladies in the labour camp. Their happiness in receiving this small token of love was simply beautiful. To bring delight to their souls as well, the youth organised a special yoga session at the camp, and much to their surprise, a lot of ladies joined the session to derive benefit from this universally-acclaimed physio-spiritual exercise.
December 22, 2017 Distribution of dry ration in Ajman.
Though it was almost during the middle of the day, there was a cool breeze that was bringing much joy to the workers at a construction site in Ajman. Since the weather was otherwise unpleasant, the joy of these labourers was double when the youth prepared several packets of vegetables for distributing to their fellow brothers.
December 22, 2017 Christmas celebration at ladies labour camp in Sharjah.
The Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions along with the youth got together to celebrate the most holy day of Christmas with their fellow sisters in a ladies labour camp in Sharjah. The celebration was kicked off with a meditation session followed by distribution of Christmas gifts for all.
