My Journey With Sai
As a brief introduction, I am Sai Adithya I study in grade 9. I live in Dubai. Swami has looked after me at all times and guided me through difficulties and transformed me into a better person. He has taught me many lessons some of which I will be explaining here.
My mother was Swami’s student so the seed of Sai was already sown inside us since childhood. My sister and I were Blavikas students and we both looked forward to going there every week. We were taught simple Bhajans and moral stories there. My early foundation of spirituality was formed then.
As divinely ordained, I share my birthday with the lord. From childhood my memories of my birthday celebration revolves around attending samithi Bhajan and Seva. As a child I was not happy about that, though my family ensured that I celebrated my star birthday elaborately.
It was in the year 2015, when we were at Muddhenhalli to celebrate Swami’s 90th birthday, I realized how fortunate I was to be born on this day. From then on I started to see it as a blessing. Following years I had opportunity to be again with Bhagawan to celebrate His and my birthday together. In 2017, I had an opportunity to take His blessings on November 23rd. While I wished him Happy birthday swami. He said in turn, ‘Happy birthday to you too’. I was taken by surprise. Needless to say that was one of the happiest moments of my life.
I had plenty of opportunity to participate in the Seva activities during birthday celebration such as packing food and grama Seva etc. Sister Sayuktha from Dubai has been my Seva mentor. I was motivated to go regularly and attend the Seva by her. Even while at Muddhenhalli I admire her dedication to stay awake the whole night and participate in the food packing, I was silently encouraged to follow suit. He made me realize the value of good company. I had many opportunity to mingle with students of Swami’s school. I was impressed by their humility, dedication and devotion. There started my transformation.
I was blessed to be a part of the youth conference during the 93rd birthday celebrations. We the youth had a separate session with Bhagawan. He guided us in various Seva activities. He reminded us to think of swami because when you think of swami you do swamis work.Doing swami’s service helps us to reach swami. An important thing swami said was “my life is my message and your life should be my message”.
I try to follow Swami’s teachings. He has transformed me, made me take the right choices in life and made me choose the right company. Swami is, was and will always be my best friend, true companion, and the best mentor. He has molded me to be whatever I am today. Whatever I am today is because of him. Swami has made me realize that the effort that I put is in my hands and the result is in swami’s hands and whatever happens is for a reason higher than myself. This is my transformation after meeting and experiencing Bhagawan.
